Dunes .. The Mesquite flat dunes are the most spread out Dunes in the Valley. It was a decent anount of walk in the sand to find one which was mostly untouched and had no foot prints..
I feel the Dunes are an extremely fast representation of what mother Earth accomplishes once we are not around. By the day the dunes are completely riddled with footsteps, but as Night approaches, the slow moving wind cleans everything up, clears out all the irregularities, and restores the original beauty of the dunes. We too have been creating these irregularities with climate change , but eventually Night will come, and Mother Nature will reclaim what is her’s and even everything out. Sadly we have shortened “the day” quite a bit due to our reckless activities. Not too late though. There is still hope. .
It’s been almost two weeks that I came back from Death Valley. As I get time to work on my photos I try to relive the exact feeling I felt when I was in that spot taking that shot... Pictures are such a great way to relive wonderful moments in life. They are so powerful that if accented with the right words they can help others live the experience you did. The happiest and most exciting part about taking these pictures is that I am able to share what I felt and what I saw with family and friends. That they can see and feel, even if a small part of what I did, is priceless and makes this whole process worth while.
